This place changed the ownership, and I’m very disappointed. The previous owner had delicious croissants, and it was airy and buttery. I gave a new owner a try; after I cut it open, it is NOT CROISSANT! It is better to not sell the item in your store because it is just hard dense bread, no air pockets, dry, no butter. I also noticed the person who bagged and checked out the order was keeping touching his face and noise, no glove and didn't wash his hands. I no longer recommend this bakery to my friends and family.

Rude rude rude,, I ordered 125 cookies thinking it was the previous owners. Whoever took over has turned one of my favorite bakeries into a negative atmosphere. The front desk girl was argumentative and rude after I ordered 125 cookies. Then they called me harassing me saying they work 18 hours a day that’s why they are rude at times. I think they forget this is a business and that’s what you do work to give great food and service. I have lived in the neighborhood all of my life and will not recommend anyone to go back there. And I would have not left this review if they did not call me and yell at me after I told them I like there black and white cookies. I thought it was a joke but that’s how nasty and rude these owners are. I hope they change their hospitality or they will not last.

Went in to buy pastizzi and was told they no longer sell them frozen but only freshly baked and must be ordered a day in advance. Since there were none available I ordered an almond croissant instead. After I left, I found that they gave me a plain croissant and that it was rock solid. I’ve been to this bakery many times before and have never been so disappointed before this experience.

Used to be my favourite place. I always bought a few extra things because the previous owner was so welcoming and always recommended me amazing treats. With the new owner, I bought a croissant that was rock hard (like I could literally bang it against my countertop and it was fine) and the rest of what i got was below average quality.

This place changesd ownership and the new owners have JACKED UP the prices BIG TIME! Last week I went in for an egg and cheese croissant and drip coffee and it was over $15. I was surprised, but didn't say anything. Tonight, I went there to buy a pumpkin pie for a Friendsgiving dinner and it was $33 for an 8 inch pie that doesn't even look appetizing. I won't be back, and I certainly won't feel bad when they go out of business. There are a lot of great bakeries in Astoria. Bye Leli's!!!

Delicious gluten free options. Loved the almond custard / pastry. The entire top row of both cookie and Pasternak containers are gluten free. Definitely check it out!

This used to be my favorite bakery in the neighborhood, the owner was a great guy who always made you feel welcome and had such amazing recipes. The new ownership is a huge disappointment. The cookies were WAY too sweet, the spinach pie (if you can even call it that, with how little spinach was in there) tasted like freezer burned spinach and rotten egg, and the pastry was limp and tasted of cardboard… Not sure what happened, but this is a huge loss for the neighborhood. I’m glad the previous owner is taking some time to himself, but we will all miss him so much!!!!
